Here is Lot 3. It is very crowded for Labor Day weekend. This view was taken from the southeast facing northwest at approximately 2:30 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2008.
The parking lots are full for Labor Day weekend as thousands of visitors have descended on the battlefield. Some might wonder why we bother pointing this out. See our post of yesterday, August 30, 2008 to verify that some associated with the battlefield are clueless, or don’t care about National Park Service visitation patterns.
See are previous posts on parking lots for May 3, 2008, July 8, 2008, July 9, 2008, and July 17, 2008.
Lot 3 is an employee lot during the summer and also used as an “overflow” lot. At times this afternoon, one could not find a parking place here. This view was taken from the southwest facing northeast at approximately 2:30 PM on Sunday, August 31, 2008.
