This is the top level (western level) of Parking Lot number 3. There are four parking areas in Parking Lot # 3. At the Gettysburg National Military Park Advisory Board meeting last week, Superintendent John Latschar was asked about the future of parking at the new visitor center. The new visitor center parking areas have room for over 900 vehicles. This is seven times more than the old visitor centers’ parking. However, the popularity of the new visitor center has meant that on some days the parking lots are full. Latschar said he is well aware of the problem, and the issue “is being addressed.” But are they doing more than that? The Gettysburg Daily visited Parking Lot #3, where it appears more parking spaces are being built.
