In the beginning of September, we reported on the initial tree cutting near the McMillan orchard. A major portion of that tree removal is now complete. We’ll take a walk down past the orchard and show you the large area that has been cleared.
To get us oriented, we begin just off of West Confederate Avenue where it becomes a “one way” road. The McMillan house is behind the green van in this view. This view was taken facing northeast at approximately 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15.
Turning to the left, we’ll follow the path the contractor vehicles have made on this southern portion of the orchard. This view was taken facing west at approximately 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15.
After the trees are cut down, the branches are removed, and the logs/trunks left are cut into smaller sections and transported. These ones will probably be gone by next week. This view was taken facing west at approximately 5:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15.

This panorama gives the best view of the removal here. The McMillan house is in the right portion of the shot.
