The David Wills House, where President Abraham Lincoln stayed the night before giving his Gettysburg Address, now has white stenciling completed around the red bricks on its north and east sides. This is part of a $35,000 project to paint the exterior of the building located on Gettysburg’s Lincoln Square, or Diamond, or Circle.

It is estimated that it will take another two to three weeks to finish outlining the bricks for the rest of the building. Here one can see that they’ve began to outline the bricks on the west side of the structure. This view was taken from the west facing east at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
President Lincoln and “Perry Como” still have a prominent location outside the building. This view was taken from the southwest facing northeast at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
The north side of the Wills House now has a new handicapped ramp. This view was taken from the northwest facing southeast at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
The bottom of the ramp has a stone exterior because the Wills House sits at an angle. The left (east) of the house is higher than the right (west) of the house. This view was taken from the north facing south at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
The east side, which sits higher, has a stone foundation. This view was taken from the north facing south at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
You’ll notice that the bricks on the right or west side of the house (right of the ramp) sit flush, or directly on top of the sidewalk. This view was taken from the northwest facing southeast at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
