Gettysburg’s William Patterson House January Update

January 13, 2010



Winter is here, but the William Patterson House has not been completely enclosed. The front door (south door) is still wide open for anyone who want to poke their head in. This view was taken facing north at approximately 8:15 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2010.

Gettysburg National Military Park’s William Patterson House, located east of the Taneytown Road, between the junction with Granite Schoolhouse Lane and Hunt Avenue has not been completely enclosed for the winter. We took some outside and some inside photographs of the structure.

Since the door is not in place on the south side of the building, we thought we’d take a look inside. We didn’t go in the building, because as the sign says, it’s closed, but we took some pictures of what we could see.
