For the fourth time, The Star and Banner again checked on the progress of the Reynolds Avenue Bridge, or the Railroad Cut Bridge on a Tuesday afternoon. Concrete beams now span the railroad cut, along with a wooden platform. The new bridge will have a more “period” appearance from the modern-looking span which preceded it. The new bridge will have a facade of quarried rock, at least on its wings.
One of the workers at the site told the Star and Banner Tuesday that concrete should completely be in place within two or three weeks. This view if from the southeast facing northwest at approximately 4:45 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2008.
