Another of the many summer programs offered at Gettysburg National Military Park is one on the common soldier. Tuesday afternoon, the Gettysburg Daily stopped by Ranger Station #1 to hear seasonal intern Joe Phillips present a program on the Civil War soldiers. Even at these general programs one may pick up things they didn’t know before. For instance, the answer to a question posed by a young visitor. At the end of the program, visitors were allowed to come up and look over the equipment, and Joe is signing a paper to have one of the young visitors receive credit for the Junior Ranger program.
